Civitan Club of Marion County Membership Drive

  • Fellowship with one another.
  • Knowledge about the community atlarge.
  • Service to our fellow man.

Civitan’s purpose is to provide members with opportunities for personal and professional

development while improving the world through community service, focusing on persons

with Disabilities.

Civitan's motto is: “Builders of Good Citizenship"

Fellowship is an important part of a growing, productive service club, and Civitan offers its members many opportunities to socialize and meet new business associates.

Working together on club projects is fun and there is always time to enjoy the company and time of other members and guests at club meetings. However, throughout the year, Civitans plan special evenings for members and guests to socialize and have some non-meeting fun.

Here is just an example of some of Civitan’s Educational Activities:

Club and State-wide Meetings  | Bi-monthly luncheons with Guest Speakers | District & International Conventions

Knowledge and Service - Civitans seek to be more informed about their communities and improve themselves through lifelong learning.

Civitan programs range from community issues addressed by local government, business and media leaders to personal and professional development seminars. Through informative programs, Civitans learn about the needs of their community and, as concerned community leaders, Civitans focus their efforts on deserving causes.

A few of our club's programs and community service projects have included:

Knight To Shine | Cake Sales | Handmade cards for Veterans Humane Society | Turning Point Homeless Shelters | State Special Olympics - Sno-Cones
